The counterfeit of products results on losses in the order of R$ 6 billion per year to the fashion industry, according to estimates from Abravest (Brazilian Clothing Association).

As stated by the president of Abravest, Roberto Chadad, besides the entrance of counterfeits from China, the sector suffers with the expansion of the presence of counterfeits from neighbor countries, specially Paraguay.
