Bhering Advogados accompanied agents of the State Department of Criminal Investigations (DEIC) and the São Paulo Police on a seizure operation named “Operation Toy”, yesterday, October 10, 2019 in São Paulo.

One ton of counterfeit toys were seized on the eve of Children’s Day in order to prevent the irregular products from reaching the final consumer. Counterfeit toys represent not only an infringement of Industrial Property rights but also a public health concern.

Our Anti-Counterfeiting Department works closely with the police and government officials in São Paulo to stay on top of the prevention of the commerce of counterfeit goods.
