The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) continuously makes updates and improvements on the Nice Classification of Products and Services – NCL, for the benefit of trademark applicants worldwide.

The 11th Edition of the Nice Classification (NCL 11) came into force in Brazil on February 7, 2017, as announced by the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office (BPTO).
