Daniel is a Telecommunications Engineer specializing in Intellectual Property, with experience working as a Patent Technical Expert in telecommunications technologies, optical networks, cloud computing, blockchain, electronics, and communication systems. 

Throughout his career, Daniel has worked at leading Intellectual Property firms in Brazil, advising national and international clients in the telecommunications, information technology, network infrastructure, embedded systems, wireless communication, and electronic devices sectors. Before entering the IP field, he worked in telecommunications engineering, with hands-on experience in optical networks, routing, and projects using DWDM technology. 

Daniel has supported research and development teams in identifying and protecting innovations through patent searches and drafting, preparation of patentability opinions, prior art analyses, technology monitoring, and strategies for international extension of Brazilian applications. He also prepares responses to office actions issued during administrative proceedings before the Brazilian PTO, and drafts appeals. 

In addition to assisting clients in protecting their technological innovations, Daniel conducts strategic analyses aimed at the safe commercial exploitation of technologies, including Freedom to Operate (FTO) analyses, infringement and non-infringement assessments, third-party supporting documentation for the examination, technical opinions supporting patent litigation, and support for Industrial Property portfolio management.
